Quests and daily quests
Nobody in this world is left wondering what to do next: there is always a task waiting, a master ready to name a target, and a window that keeps the count. Here is each of those windows and what it tells you.
Quest System

T opens the main quest line: the monster, the map, your progress and the reward - stat points, zen, experience and items. The number in the title bar is the quest you are on, out of the total.
Random quests

On top of the main line, the Random Quest Master in Lorencia (130, 127) hands out random quests once 150 quests of the chain are done. The window has no key: it opens when you talk to him. At the top are the quests you have done, the current difficulty, today's limit and the stat points collected. The reward is on show before you set out: zen, experience, a chance at stat points and a list of items - jewels, boxes and others - with their odds. A target you do not like can be swapped with Change Quest, once a day.
Event entries

The book button at the bottom of the character window C opens the Events window (its tooltip says Event Entry Count). It shows how many of today's entries you have used out of those allowed for Blood Castle, Devil Square, Chaos Castle, Doppelganger, Imperial Guard, the Abyssal Spire and Battle Grounds.
Daily quests

Daily quests open at level 160, up to 5 a day - the Today line counts them. The Daily Quest Master stands in Devias (210, 55); his window has no key either and opens when you talk to him. He hands the quests out one at a time: Take Quest draws a target, and the next one can be taken once the current one is handed in with Done. The window shows the monster, how many are left to kill, where it lives and the reward.
If the target does not suit you, Change swaps it for another. That works once a day; the Change Quest line shows whether today's change is still left.
Each quest pays zen and experience, and every one handed in also adds a daily point. From the 10th reset on, resets ask for these points (the first nine ask for none), so a missed day is a postponed reset.
Tracker

The tracker floats over the game with the current main-line quest, its progress and the location, so the window can stay closed. A click on its header folds it away.
