Healing Potions

The red flask has saved more lives than any shield. But a hero's body is no bottomless barrel: gulped one after another, healing potions work worse and worse. Whoever hammers the key in a panic drinks half the belt for almost nothing. Whoever can wait three heartbeats walks out of the fight alive.

How it works

  • The first healing potion always heals at full strength.
  • Each next one drunk sooner than 3 seconds after the previous heals 30% less than the one before it.
  • The row goes 100% - 70% - 49% - 34% - 24% - 17% - 12%, then 10%, and a potion never falls below that tenth.
  • Three seconds without a healing potion - and the next one heals in full again.
  • The count runs from the last potion drunk: every new gulp starts the three seconds over.

Which potions tire

Only those that give life back:

  • Apple;
  • Small Healing Potion, Healing Potion, Large Healing Potion;
  • Elite Healing Potion;
  • Small Complex Potion, Complex Potion, Large Complex Potion - only the part that heals life weakens.

Mana potions, SD potions and Antidote are drunk as always: the count does not touch them.

What the screen shows

The cell of a healing potion tells you what to expect: it shows the percent the next gulp will heal and the time left until full strength. The number is gone - the potion heals in full again.

An example from a fight

A hero with 4897 life drinks three Large Healing Potions in a row without waiting. The first gives back 979 life, the second 685, the third 479. Three flasks gave what a little over two would have.

It only gets worse: the fourth in a row heals a third, the seventh an eighth. The belt empties and life barely moves.

Drinking wisely

  • Under a hail of blows the first two or three potions in a row are still worth their price. The fourth and fifth are not.
  • If there is room to fall back for three seconds - fall back. A step away is cheaper than five flasks.
  • The potions themselves are as strong as ever: Small gives back 10% of maximum life, the ordinary one 15%, Large 20%, Elite all of it. It is not the potion that tires, it is the one who drinks.
  • In a long fight with a boss the survivor is not the one with more flasks but the one who drinks them in time.
