Chaos Castle

Chaos Castle is an arena that falls apart under your feet. You go in alone, and everything on it is against you - the monsters and the other players alike.

Ticket and entry

The way in is an Armor of Guardsman. There is nothing to craft: NPC shops sell it ready-made - Rosie in Lorencia (123, 135), Willow in Noria (173, 125) and Frost in Devias (226, 25), to name a few. Its base price is 5,000 Zen; the fee for your CC tier is charged separately, at the moment of entry.

No entry NPC is involved: right-click the Armor of Guardsman in your inventory and confirm entry. One ticket is spent whole on one visit. A character can enter Chaos Castle 3 times a day, 4 with VIP.

The server picks your CC tier by itself, from your current resets. The ticket is the same for every tier, and character level, class and Master Level have no say in the bracket.

Schedule

Entry closes every 2 hours: at 01:00, 03:00, 05:00, 07:00, 09:00, 11:00, 13:00, 15:00, 17:00, 19:00, 21:00 and 23:00, server time.

Entry stays open for the 5 minutes before the listed time and closes on it; the fight begins at once and lasts up to 10 minutes. For example: enter at 00:55-01:00, fight 01:00-01:10. The map closes 1 minute after the results.

One participant is enough for the event to start, and a tier holds up to 70 players. This is a solo PvP/PvE event - parties are not allowed.

Preparation

  • Party: leave your group before entering.
  • Mounts: unequip Uniria, Dinorant or Fenrir.
  • Character state: finish any duel or guild war; close the trade and crafting windows.
  • Transformation: remove any effect that changes your character's appearance.
  • Location: the ticket is not used on another event's map.
  • PK and Zen: any PK status, from the first Outlaw stage, blocks entry; carry the ticket and enough Zen for the entry fee.

Winning

Cut down monsters and other participants, and keep away from the edge. The fewer players and monsters remain, the less floor there is to stand on: it shrinks when their combined number falls to 40, 30 and 20.

A dying monster has a 50% chance to knock nearby players back. A fall from the arena eliminates you just as death does, so do not linger at the edge even after killing a monster.

The event ends early when only one player remains and every monster is dead. If time runs out with no monsters left, the winner among the survivors is the one with the highest combat score: 2 points per monster and 1 per player. If monsters remain, there is no winner and no main prize.

Winner's reward

The item reward is the same on CC1-CC7: a guaranteed Box of Jewels (5) and a separate 30% chance of one more item. That chance is split equally between a Talisman of Chaos Assembly and an Ancient item with the +5 ancient option, of the tier that matches the castle: T1 at CC1-2, T2 at CC3-4, T3 at CC5-7.

OutcomeOverall probability
Box of Jewels (5) only70%
Box of Jewels (5) + Talisman of Chaos Assembly15%
Box of Jewels (5) + Ancient item (T1 / T2 / T3)15%

The extra item comes on top of the box, never instead of it. There is no fixed payout of Zen or Epic Coins / Epic Bonus for a victory.

Experience and rankings

On every tier a player kill is worth 2,000,000 experience and a monster kill 500,000. This count is kept apart from the combat score that decides the winner. The CC ranking records event points, not the number of wins.

Which resets each level admits

Level Resets
CC1 0 - 4
CC2 5 - 9
CC3 10 - 19
CC4 20 - 39
CC5 40 - 69
CC6 70 - 124
CC7 125 - 215

Your reset count decides the level, not your character level, class or master level. You cannot enter a level above or below your own.
