Prison

The prison is a separate map where a Game Master sends a character for breaking the rules. Nobody can walk in on their own, and nobody can walk out: the way out is serving the sentence, buying your way out, or a GM's release.

How you get there

The GM picks the character at the Prison Warden NPC, writes the reason and sets the conditions. The character does not have to be online - an offline one lands in prison at the next login.

A new sentence replaces the old one and starts from zero.

How to get out

The GM sets the conditions - kills, time or both. Every condition that is set must be met:

  • Kills: kill the required number of monsters on the prison map.
  • Time: spend the required time on the prison map in game. The clock only runs while the character is in game and on the prison map - offline it stops. Progress is saved every minute and at logout.

The buyout is a separate way out. If the GM set a price, you can pay it in Epic Coins and walk out at once, conditions or not. With no price there is no buyout.

A sentence can also have no kills and no time - only a buyout. That one ends only by buyout or a GM's release.

As soon as the conditions are met the character is free and is moved to Lorencia.

What you cannot do in prison

  • Leave: teleport, /move, Town Portal, Talisman of Resurrection and Talisman of Mobility do not work. The scroll or talisman is not used up.
  • Write to the global chat: /post is closed.
  • Go into offline mode.
  • Make a reset: it is refused until the character is released.

After death and at login a prisoner appears in the prison again. Renaming the character does not help - the sentence follows the new name.

The Helper works.

The map

In the middle is a safe plaza. Players cannot attack each other anywhere on the map, not only on the plaza. Around the plaza are 32 pens with monsters from Tarkan to Raklion: Tarkan next to the plaza, Raklion in the far corners. Even the weakest pens are built for about 5 resets, so a weak character serves a time sentence more easily than a kills one.

Experience on the map is 50%, and zen drops at 75% of the usual amount. Ordinary items do not drop, but jewels, event key parts and boxes drop as they do everywhere.

The prison plaza

A prisoner appears in the middle of the safe plaza. Three NPCs stand a few steps away:

  • Prison Warden - just north of where you land. Talking to him opens the prison window.
  • Potion Girl Amy - on the west side of the plaza, the same potion shop as in Lorencia.
  • Hanzo the Blacksmith - on the east side; he sells weapons and repairs items.

The prison window

The window opens only at the Prison Warden. It shows the GM who gave the sentence, the reason, the progress, the buyout price and your Epic Coin balance. The buyout button has to be pressed twice within 3 seconds, so it is never pressed by accident.

The progress is also on screen, in a Blood Castle style frame: "Kills: done / needed" and the time still left to serve.
