Which class to choose

Your first character is your first road, and you want to pick it well. The good news: there are no weak classes here. Every one of them can walk the game from the first slime to the last boss - the difference is only how they do it, and what you enjoy.

Below is every class in a few words: its role, its strengths and who it suits. At the end there is a summary table to compare them all at once. The exact stat formulas live on the Classes page.

Dark Wizard - Nuker

Dark Wizard
Dark Wizard

A mage who turns a crowd of monsters into ash. Hellfire, Evil Spirit, Inferno, Ice Storm, Nova - the Dark Wizard hits everyone who came too close at once, and that is why he is one of the fastest hunters in the game.

But the wizard is more than damage. Soul Barrier covers the whole party and takes part of every blow on mana, Ice slows enemies, Poison and Decay wear them down while the team finishes them. Teleport gets him out of any crush, and Teleport Ally pulls a friend to his side.

Suits: players who love big damage numbers, clearing whole rooms and a role the party does not want to hunt without.

Dark Knight - Tank

Dark Knight
Dark Knight

A front-line warrior: heavy armour, a huge life pool and solid defence. The Dark Knight is the first into the crowd and the last out of it.

Twisting Slash spins his sword around him, Rageful Blow sends a wave through the ground, Death Stab pierces the line straight through. And Swell Life raises the life of the whole party - with a knight on the team you survive what you would not survive without him.

Suits: players who want a simple, reliable start, honest close combat and a character that is hard to bring down.

Fairy Elf (agility) - Archer

Fairy Elf
Fairy Elf

The easiest class for a first meeting with the game. The archer keeps enemies at a distance, dodges blows better than anyone and heals herself.

Triple Shot and Multi-Shot rain arrows on several enemies at once, Penetration pierces a whole line, Ice Arrow stops whoever got too close, and Infinity Arrow lets her shoot without thinking about the quiver. Her summoned allies - from the Goblin to Bali - take the blows while she shoots.

Suits: newcomers, solo players and everyone who loves fighting at range.

Fairy Elf (energy) - Support

Fairy Elf
Fairy Elf

The same elf, on another road - the road of support. Her arrows are lighter, but her hands make everyone around her stronger.

Greater Damage and Greater Defense raise her allies' attack and defence, Heal gives them their life back. She buffs herself just like the others, so she stays in a fight far longer than she looks. And when it is time to fight, her Soldier steps in - the strongest of the summoned allies.

Suits: players who play with friends, love being the heart of the party and want to be wanted on every hunt and every event.

Magic Gladiator - Hybrid

Magic Gladiator
Magic Gladiator

A sword in one hand, a spell in the other. The Magic Gladiator takes the best of the knight and the wizard and decides for himself what to be: put the points into strength and cut with the blade, or into energy and strike with magic.

Power Slash, Fire Slash and Spiral Slash for close combat, Flame Strike and Gigantic Storm for the crowd, and the wizard's spells always at hand. The gladiator needs nobody to go hunting: he is his own shield, sword and spell.

Suits: experienced players who like to experiment with a build and rely on themselves alone.

Dark Lord - Damage dealer

Dark Lord
Dark Lord

A lord who leads. The Dark Lord hits hard and hits many - Fire Burst, Force Wave, Fire Scream, Chaotic Diseier, Electric Spark - and his faithful companion, the Dark Raven, always fights at his side.

The Dark Lord has something no one else has: the Dark Horse, a unique mount of several tiers, from the red steed to the golden one, with its own skill Earthshake that shakes the ground under the enemy. Critical Damage strengthens the critical hits of the whole party, and Summon gathers the party around the lord wherever he is.

Suits: players who want to both hit and command, and are not afraid of a character with plenty to think about.

Summoner - Warlock

Summoner
Summoner

A sorceress of curses. Her strength is not only in raw damage but in what she does to the enemy: Weakness softens his blows, Innovation strips his defence, Sleep takes him out of the fight. Everything that hits him afterwards hits harder.

Drain Life takes the enemy's life for herself, Chain Lightning jumps from target to target, Requiem, Pollution and Lightning Shock cover the crowd. Berserker kindles her own magic, and Damage Reflection sends part of a blow back to the one who struck it.

Suits: players who love a cunning game, strong magic and a role that decides a hard fight.

Rage Fighter - Bruiser

Rage Fighter
Rage Fighter

A bruiser is a fighter who lives in the thick of the brawl: a huge life pool, fast chains of punches and a habit of never stepping back. The Rage Fighter does not hide behind a shield - he simply takes more than the enemy can dish out.

Killing Blow, Beast Uppercut and Chain Drive are point-blank combos, Dark Side brings a hail of strikes down on everyone around, Dragon Roar and Dragon Slasher hit the crowd, Charge breaks into the fight, Phoenix Shot finishes it. And Increase Health and Increase Block strengthen the whole party - with a fighter on the team, everyone stands firmer.

Suits: players who love close combat, a fast pace and a character you see in every fight.

Class comparison

Ratings from one to five, where five is the best at the job. Difficulty is not a class's strength but how much attention it asks for: the fewer stars, the easier the start.

So whom to choose?

  • First time in MU? Start with the elf archer: she forgives mistakes, heals herself and keeps enemies at a distance.
  • Just want to walk forward and not fall? Dark Knight.
  • Love it when a crowd vanishes in one spell? Dark Wizard.
  • Playing with friends? The support elf, the Dark Lord or the Rage Fighter make the whole party stronger.
  • Want something unusual? The Magic Gladiator and the Summoner open up to those who like to get to know their character.

And above all: pick the one you like. In the end the strongest character is the one you want to log into every evening.
