Events

Hello everyone!
I would like to suggest adding session-based PvP events with equal starting opportunities (based on the Battle Royale principle) to the server. The core idea is for players to progress completely from scratch directly during the event, without using donation perks or existing privileges.
As for the rewards, I propose a tiered prize system based on placement upon elimination: basic experience for time spent + valuable rewards for top-tier positions, subject to the administration's discretion.
I would be happy to hear feedback from players and learn the administration's stance on this initiative!

Hello, and thank you for the suggestion!

We like the idea a lot. An event where everyone starts from zero, with no gear, no resets and no perks, comes down to how well you play. It would also be a big plus for new players: for the length of a match they would stand on equal ground with those who are already far ahead.

We will try to implement it for the next update.

We already have a reward plan in mind. It would depend on a character’s resets, and players with higher resets would receive a small amount of Daily Points. The exact rules and the placement rewards will be worked out as the event takes shape.

Thanks again for the initiative! We’d also like to hear what other players think.

Hello everyone!

An event that ignores a player’s donations is an interesting idea, and it will appeal most to those who haven’t invested anything in the game. For them it’s a rare chance to compete on truly equal terms.

However, I’d like to point out that Daily Points are very important. If the winners receive them, they will end up far ahead, even compared to players who have donated. That would defeat the purpose of an event built on equal opportunities, so the rewards should be something that doesn’t give a significant advantage over donating players.

I’d also say that if a player pays to become stronger (and the game itself allows it), then completely disregarding their financial contribution would feel a bit unfair to them. These players support the server, so I hope the event can stay fair for newcomers without making that investment feel pointless.

Thanks for considering the feedback!

Well, Monday said
Mondayplayers with higher resets would receive a small amount of Daily Points.
, maybe it can boost you up a little bit if the amount of points is what it will take you to make just one reset or so.

Enough that it's worth assisting to the event, but not too crazy that you end up on top of the leaderboard with just a couple of wins in the event, right?

I see your point, but think of it this way. Imagine you paid extra for priority boarding on a flight. Then the airline announces that anyone who wins a small game at the gate gets the same priority for free. Sure, it’s “just a small perk”, but if it keeps happening, your payment stops meaning anything.

It’s the same here. One reset may sound small, but if the event runs regularly, wins add up, and someone can catch up with players who actually invested money. That’s why the reward size and limits (like a daily or weekly cap) should be defined clearly in advance.

I’m not against the event. I just want it to stay fair for newcomers without making other players’ investments feel pointless.

@Morkiller
For now the reward is worth about one reset. Further on it shifts anyway: if you have looked at the reset table, you will remember that higher resets need more points, while the experience gain gets much smaller. So the reward closes only a small part of the gap.

The idea is that low-reset players could get, for example, a Box of Kundun for a win, and higher-reset players Daily Points.

If you don’t agree with this kind of reward, please put forward a concrete proposal. It will be taken into account.

@EHOT
Players who pay for “priority boarding” have 100% of that priority on the server today. Let’s say it becomes 99%: I don’t think you will really notice the difference. And of course there will be daily limits, just like for the other events, and VIP accounts will get something of their own as well.

We respect both sides of the coin, which is why we want to think everything through in advance. It will be easier if players help us with that.

@Monday

Yes, I understand it’s not easy to take both sides of the coin into account. If donations get devalued, players will stop investing money in the server. But if newcomers and F2P players aren’t helped in some way, the online will drop. That’s why I think the balance is the key point here.

PS And that’s how it usually goes in real life: today it’s 1%, tomorrow it’s 2% )))

I agree with you, but let me give you a different perspective on that "VIP flight seat".

What is the point of being number one if you're competing against no one? It would be like being on a private jet, heading to a deserted island.

Where's the motivation?

On the other hand, if a "standard" user has the chance to benefit from it and potentially catch up with someone who has invested money, that means that the guy may not be investing money, but he will be investing a large amount of time on the server. And I think that's one of the best things that can happen.

For me personally, the fun part of this game, and in this specific case, this server, is the community. Having active users, whether it's to wage guild wars, make cheeky deals through trades, or help others, is vital to making this a great server.

But just to show you that I'm not against donators, at the end of the day, we live in a world where nothing is free, and @Monday needs to pay the bills as well, I'd like to propose something:

At higher resets, stat points will become irrelevant. What will really matter is having the right equipment. So, what about giving VIP players the standard reward, plus an additional chance to obtain some "special" or "high-grade" pieces of equipment?

That way, you're giving regular players a boost while VIP players also get something extra (on a different level, of course).

I see this as a win-win situation for everyone :D
